Will the A77 be best with full-frame lenses?

An interesting discussion at aphamountworld.com argues that the best lenses for the A77 might be those designed for full frame cameras. The reason given is that they will have better corner sharpness and will more fully exploit the resolution of the A77.

A good lens for the Sony Alpha A77?

I find it hard to believe that if Sony have, as rumored, developed a new 2.8 zoom for the A77, they wouldn’t do as much as possible to make it at least comparable in performance with a full frame such as the 24-70 f2.8 ZA pictured here. I hope so – I’d certainly prefer not to have the extra weight of bigger, full-frame lenses.

I am looking forward to see this new camera in July 2011. I hope this time Sony consider to make a smaller grip for this camera, otherwise I will be disappointed.

After a long experiment with Nikon following falling out with Olympus, I have high hopes for this camera too. I would have bought an A55 had I not been lucky to find out this would be an option soon. I just hope they are available before October when I go to New York City
